My breeding program

My dogs share my daily life and live exclusively at home with my family and me, without cages or kennels. They have access to the course throughout the day and can therefore enjoy the great outdoors as much as they wish.

Ann~Lou's goal is to breed healthy dogs, healthy in body and mind and above all to ensure that they meet the requirements of the breed standard. I take care to choose breeders descending from lines of champions who will transmit a genetic heritage of choice. I regularly attend training in order to always improve my knowledge and by the same token, my breeding.

The females are mated only from 2 years old, which gives them plenty of time to grow and develop so that they become good, balanced and mature mothers. I attend each whelping of my female dogs. Shortly before this big moment, the mother-to-be needs to be secure and increasingly asks for our presence. So I don't imagine that babies are born anywhere other than in the house. Raising puppies is very important to me. In addition to hugs, familiar noises, toys and games, introduction to claw cutting, brushing and bathing which contribute to their development, I also practice the programsBiosensor and Avidog

They also have the opportunity to explore the surroundings, to learn to use the stairs, to  to play, walk and run every day, always under supervision. I pay particular attention to each of them, so the affective transfer will take place very quickly, with balanced and confident puppies.

I focus my efforts on respecting the standard, taking into consideration physical attributes and psychological abilities such as height and weight, color, temperament, stability, obedience, intelligence and balance between all these features . â€‹

I can understand that what follows may not appeal to everyone, but I have my requirements:

I am not a grocer who sells consumables. I don't sell dogs! I carefully place my beloved puppies, choosing families who will love and care for them as much as I do. And all the difference is there. In my eyes, animals are entitled to the same respect as humans. We all live on the same planet, we all breathe the same air, we all drink the same water, except that we don't speak the same language, that's all. A dog is in many ways far more honorable than a human. Dogs are not inferior beings as many still think. A dog is absolutely loyal, he is fundamentally good, he never judges you, he does not hold grudges, he never complains about your bad mood, he is patient, affectionate and much more.

It's simple, from your dog's point of view, you're always perfect!

Ethical and responsible breeding

Preserve, Protect and Cherish

The main mission of my breeding is to have healthy dogs and puppies. I spend a lot of time and money to find the best possible candidates. Some of my dogs come from very far away. Each of my male and female stud dogs go through different health tests before mating so as not to harm the genetics. Having a quality breeding and avoiding inbreeding is essential for me. As I take my breeding very seriously and want my bloodlines to remain health free, everyone who adopts a puppy from Ann~Lou must sign a non-breeding agreement.

The basis of my breeding is above all to carefully choose my parents and to do everything in my power so that they have a beautiful and good life. It is important to make the right choice of breed and breeder because a dog is not just a dog, it is a being who has a soul, feelings and who devotes unconditional love to his family. A medium-sized dog can easily live up to 12 years. Hence the importance of carefully choosing its origin in order to be able to keep it for a long time. I am not a traditional breeder. Having a lot of empathy, I am concerned about the physical and mental health of my dogs, I am always looking for information that will allow me to improve my understanding of this wonderful animal.

My breeding philosophy

Raising my dogs in the most natural and optimal way possible is what I believe in and adhere to. My approach is essentially based on their well-being. I offer them excellent quality raw food, a family environment, games and interactions between congeners, walks, an education based on the positive development of a human-dog bond, as well as medical follow-up adapted to their individual needs.
